Di postingan kali ini saya akan berbagi tentang sebuah materi bahasa inggris yaitu tentang COMPARE (perbandingan) atau Degrees of Comparison. Materi Bahasa Inggris ini baru-baru saja saya pelajari di sekolah. So, cekidot..

The degrees of comparison (tingkat perbandingan) berjumlah tiga tingkat, yaitu :

1. The positive degree (tingkat biasa)

2. The comparative (tingkat lebih/perbandingan)

3. The superlative (tingkat paling)

1. POSITIVE DEGREE (tingkat positif) digunakan untuk menunjukkan bahwa sesuatu itu sama tingkatannya. Perbandingan untuk sesuatu yang tingkatannya sama digunakan as … as
2. COMPARATIVE DEGREE digunakan apabila dua orang atau benda dikatakan tidak sama dalam hal sifat yang tertentu Yang satu lebih dari yang lain. Tingkat perbandingan dinyatakan dengan menggunakan “-er” jika kata sifat itu hanya memiliki satu suku kata (one syllable) serta di tambah kata “than.”
3. SUPERLATIVE DEGREE (tingkat superlative) yaitu apabila seseorang atau sebuah benda dikatakan melebihi atau mengungguli semua orang atau benda yang lain yang sama macamnya, kita menggunakan superlative degree dengan the … of.

Contohnya adalah:

            b. My dad is stong as Chris John (positive degree)

            c. My dad is stronger than you (comparative degree)

            d. My dad is strongest of all my family (superlative degr

            2.      a. My problem is complicated

            b. My problem is compicated as Ani problem

            c. My problem is more complicated than his problem

            d. My problem is most complicated off all your problem

             3.    a. This cake is dark

            b. This cake is dark as that cake

            c. This cake is darker than this one

            d. This cake is darkest of all cake in this room

       4.  a. The class room is large

            b. The class room is large as the left class

            c. The class room is larger than my bedroom

            d. The class room is largest of all class room in your school

       5.  a. Math quiz is hard

            b. Math quis is hard as chemistry quiz

            c. Math quiz is harder than physic quiz

            d. Math quiz is hardest of all quiz
